Representatives of the State Research and Design Institute of Basic Chemistry of State Scientific Institution “Institute for Single Crystals” of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NIOCHIM) participated in annual conference of Alkali Manufacturers Association of India (AMAI) 2026 on February 11-12, 2026 in New Delhi (India).
NIOCHIM was represented by:
– Zoia Malakei, Deputy Director on Science and Development, Ph.D. in Technics;
– Gennadiy Kulyk, Chief Process Engineer;
– Andriy Kalantarenko, Leading Engineer of AECS Department.
AMAI is one of the main events for the specialists of alkaline industry in India. New technologies, market trends and strategic partnerships prospects were discussed at the conference. Special attention was devoted to global and Indian chlorine alkali and soda ash markets in India, plants development and international cooperation. Almost all Indian soda ash manufacturers took part in the conference.
NIOCHIM has widely presented its achievements and current projects. Andriy Kalantarenko reported that since 2012 institute has implemented projects for three largest Indian soda ash companies and made significant contribution to soda ash industry growth in the country up to 3550 thousand tpa, which is 45% higher than in 2012. NIOCHIM has established itself as a reliable and highly professional partner for Indian enterprises.
Rajesh Kamat, Head of Strategic Projects at Tata Chemicals noted that NIOCHIM is the driver of global soda ash market.
During the conference representatives of the institute also held business meetings with current and potential partners and discussed new joint initiatives and further cooperation prospects.
