Delegation of NIOCHIM participated in one of the most outstanding events for the whole world soda community – annual international conference World Soda Ash 2024 that was held on October 9-11, 2024 on Malta. More than 150 large companies, including soda ash manufacturers and main consumers, representatives of commodities exchanges, chemical market analytics of Dow Jones Company were widely represented at the conference. The most important issues on soda ash market trends and development by countries and globally, special attention was paid to carbon trace decrease and energy saving at plants.
NIOCHIM specialists led consultations and reached mutual understanding with companies interested in cooperation with the institute. Data obtained at the conference are extremely important for the institute’s activities and confirm that despite world crisis soda ash market continues to grow. In 2025-2030 new plants construction and expansion is expected in India, China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia. Technical and economic studies are conducted in Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Indonesia, Egypt and other countries.
